You may have heard I’m putting together a list of good niches along with useful metrics.

I first shared the idea in this thread:

Since then, 149 of you signed up to be the first to get notified when the niche list (which I’m naming “Curated Niches”) launches.

You probably want some more details and an example niche. I know I would. So, here you go!

More details

  • The list will be in an Airtable database.

  • I’m planning to launch it once I’ve found between 50 and 100 great niches.

  • I expect to officially launch it sometime in March.

  • The price will be one-time only (you’ll have lifetime access).

  • No, I’m not basing the efficacy of a niche off Ahrefs KD scores. As some pointed out in comments below the tweet, Ahrefs KD is not actually a good measure of keyword difficulty. Instead, I’m manually researching each niche to determine its efficacy.

  • The database/spreadsheet will include the following details (open to suggestions for more things to include!):

    • Opportunities (AI-proof, programmatic SEO, etc.)

    • Top competitors

    • Example keywords

    • Affiliate programs

    • Monthly traffic potential

    • Estimated RPM (ads + affiliate)

    • Estimated monthly income potential

    • Competition level

    • 5-year trend

    • Notes (I’ll point out anything interesting I found in my research of the niche)

  • Niche: winches

  • Opportunities: AI-proof (lots of opportunities for content that AI can’t handle well - like reviews and how-to guides)

  • Top Competitors:

  • Example Keywords:

    • car trailer winch mounting ideas

    • xbull winch review

    • best 12000 lb winch

  • Affiliate Programs: Amazon Associates, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Walmart, 4 Wheel Parts, Tractor Supply Co

  • Monthly Traffic Potential: 30,000

  • Estimated RPM (Ads + Affiliate): $30

  • Monthly Income Potential: $900

  • Competition Level: Low

  • 5-Year Trend: Steady

  • Notes: “Lots of commercial intent keywords (best ofs, reviews, comparisons) and some medium/high search volume, low competition info keywords as well.”

This is just one example of an easy niche. The full list will have many, many more.

And worry not, many of the niches will have FAR greater traffic and income potential than winches :)
