I tracked 55,209 sites through the August Core Update

I started tracking the traffic data for 55,209 websites at the start of Google’s August Core update, which finished rolling out on September 3rd.

The websites I tracked were all monetized with Mediavine, Raptive, or Amazon Associates.

The data paints a surprising picture. Unlike the September HCU and March Core Update, there was very little movement on average.

53% of the tracked sites had a traffic increase, leaving 47% with a decrease.

The average increase was just 0.59%.
